Dr. Venugopal KJ | Managing Director

In addition to an early career of 10 years in life science research and academia, Venu has approximately 25 years of successful professional experience working in the food industry in the areas of food safety, regulations, agriculture, sustainability, and product development. Engaged in cross-functional training, technical and quality assurance team development, graduate and postgraduate teaching, research, and quality control. Venu has a distinguished career as a technical head, creating, overseeing, and directing high-performing teams in the fields of research and development, food safety, agricultural/backward integration/contract farming, and regulatory system management.

Venu possesses an illustrious early professional foundation in biological science teaching and advanced research along with engaging in instructing graduate and postgraduate students in biology and biotechnology. He has presented research papers at international science conferences and has published over 15 research articles in international publications of high rating. He has also published scientific papers, reviews, chapters in books and books on food safety, supply chain quality management, new products and nutraceutical foods in reputable international food and nutrition publications.

Served as the Head of Contract Farming, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and R&D at AVT McCormick, a joint venture of the multinational food conglomerate McCormick, for over a decade, Venu has visited several customer facilities and labs across the globe and has successfully finished several supply chain quality and efficiency improvement projects.

While working with McCormick, Venu participated attended in the annual McCormick Quality Assurance Manager’s conference as a resource and faculty member for training. He has extremely good understanding of national and international food regulatory requirements, third-party audit standards, customer standards, and certifications, and audits related to food quality, food safety, sustainability, IS regulations, contract farming and laboratory management systems.

Sibi K Thomas | Executive Director

An accomplished professional with over 35 years of expertise in procurement operations for a variety of food and agricultural commodities as well as natural and synthetic food components, Sibi is a specialist in natural commodities and trade with over 30 years of top-level exposure in global sourcing, strong business strategy, and supply chain knowledge.

Sibi has developed backward integration projects, sourcing operations, supplier quality systems, vendor/procurement management systems and modules, post-farm and pre-processing activities, and complex supply chains with success. a proficient commodity trader with extensive global sourcing skills who leads trading and commercial teams with success.

Having spent more than 15 years as the Head of Procurement for AVT McCormick, a joint venture of the global food giant McCormick, Sibi worked effectively on a variety of supply chain solutions and efficiency initiatives while visiting numerous vendor units, commodity marketplaces, customer and supplier operations, and labs worldwide.

Binoy Thampi | Project Head

An accomplished food safety implementation specialist with 25 years of experience in the food processing and supply chain , Binoy is well-versed in a variety of food safety regulations and client standards.

He is an expert in food safety with practical knowledge in a variety of food production areas, managing the food safety team at AVT McCormick, a joint venture of global food giant McCormick.

Binoy is a certified HACCP auditor from the American School of Quality, with experience auditing a variety of businesses.

A pest management expert, he regularly manages a monthly stock of of over 25,000MT of food stock, addressing pest issues and creating efficient plans for monitoring and treatment successfully.

He is also a sanitation specialist in creating customized sanitation programs that meet the global food industry needs. He is a certified auditor for GMP, HACCP, and BRC standards, having audited and recommended solutions for more than 150 plants in India and abroad.

As a project head in FSQS, he has accomplished many significant food factory projects successfully, from the design phase to the quality system deployment.

He is also a sanitation specialist in creating customized sanitation programs that meet the global food industry needs. He is a certified auditor for GMP, HACCP, and BRC standards, having audited and recommended solutions for more than 150 plants in India and abroad.
